The Secretary General of ICCN, Seokje Lee and two other ICCN staffs participated in the 1st UNESCO accredited NGOs Meeting. Organized by the Cultural Heritage Administration and Andong City, with the theme : “Vitalization of International Cooperation of UNESCO accredited NGOs in Korea”, the meeting was held last March 29 – 30, 2016 at the Andong Grand Hotel, Korea.
The goals of the meeting were to share ideas and to communicate these information between the group of UNESCO accredited NGOs. Primarily, it aims to strengthen the ability of international cooperation for NGO organizations and to create a network relating to this issue.
The meeting had two sessions. Session 1 focused on the Trends and Interests in Safeguarding International Intangible Heritage and Session 2 was on Sharing of NGO Networks’ Activities. The meeting was a great opportunity to plan future collaborations and share plans for international activties. This will facilitate a chance to participate at international activities organized by another NGO and connect with other international NGOs.

This year, we have chosen to showcase a variety of quality wines from Europe. Since most of ICCN members are from Europe, it would be great to experience Europe’s Wine Drinking Culture. The eco- friendly and serene venue we have is perfect for this activity. There will also be a Photo Exhibit to enjoy while having good wine. The exhibit will showcase quality images from our ICCN members.
